Dr. Kenneth Laudermilch

DR. KENNETH LAUDERMILCH is the Music Director of the New Holland Band, the second oldest municipal band in the United States.  Prior to his appointment to this historic band, he served as Professor of Instrumental Music in the School of Music at West Chester University for thirty-eight years where he directed the University Wind Ensemble and Chamber Winds, taught trumpet, and directed the elementary, middle-school and high school summer music workshops and camp. Recently he was appointed  Professor of trumpet at F&M College.  As a performer, Laudermilch served as Principal Trumpet of the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and has served as a Substitute Trumpet with the Philadelphia Orchestra . For the last thirty-five years has performed as Principal Trumpet of the Westminster Brass, a Philadelphia based brass quintet which has performed in over sixty cities throughout the United States and Canada.  Dr. Laudermilch resides in New Holland with his wife, Nancy, and their son, Keith.  His firm belief is that music is a gift to be appreciated sometimes for its sheer beauty but most often for its occupation of consoling, uplifting and encouraging the human spirit and ultimately to bring glory to God.
